Stannol now licensee for SN100CV® and SN100CVe® from Nihon

News

We are pleased to announce that Stannol is now an official licensee for the Nihon alloys SN100CV® and SN100CVe®.

With this expansion of our portfolio, in addition to the SN100C alloy, we now offer our customers two further high-quality, high-performance and globally established solder alloys that are characterized by outstanding processability, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

Stannol SN100CV® (SnBi1.5Cu0.7Ni) is a patented high-performance alloy specially developed for applications where maximum reliability is required.

The bismuth-doped SN100CV® is based on a nickel-stabilized tin-copper solder and also contains germanium, which significantly reduces dross formation. The alloy is completely free of silver and lead and is ideal for applications with particularly high quality and reliability requirements.

Thanks to the bismuth content, SN100CV® achieves around 30 percent higher fatigue strength compared to SN100C® and therefore even surpasses the performance of SAC305. The already low copper alloying of SN100C® is also further reduced in SN100CV®, resulting in stable processes and particularly simple process management.

SN100CV® is a Nihon Superior® patent (patent number JP 5872114) and is available from Stannol as solder bars, solder wires and solder pastes.

The extended license partnership with Nihon underlines our commitment to continuously expand our offering and provide our customers with leading technology solutions.

We look forward to using these products in future projects and working with our customers to tap into new potential!
