Tin Solder – Ecoloy TS
Ecoloy TS (Sn96,3Ag3,7) is a lead-free, eutectic solder according to ISO 9453 (alloy number 701) which can replace eutectic or almost eutectic tin/lead or tin/lead/silver alloys.
The Ecoloy TS alloy is manufactured from pure metals and has been developed to eliminate the use of tin/lead alloys in all existing production processes in electronics manufacturing and guarantees a lead-free soldering process.

Application
The use of Ecoloy TS as wave solder requires a solder bath temperature of approx. 260 to 280 °C. The use of inert gas means a significant extension of the process window. The wetting of the solder is improved and no excess solder remains on the components when exiting the wave. Ecoloy TS is also suitable for use in selective soldering systems. The copper-free alloy can also be used to regulate the copper content in the solder bath. If the copper content is increased or even if the copper is approaching the limit value, this alloy can be added. The silver content remains the same – the copper content is reduced.
