Sustainable products
We have been addressing social and environmental aspects of raw material sourcing for many years. In 2014, Stannol launched a solder wire for which defined environmental and social criteria were taken into account in the sourcing of raw materials. Today, greenconnect offers a product range with defined requirements for raw materials, materials and packaging, which is continuously being expanded.
Quality and safety
We constantly work on our quality and meet the global quality standard in the automotive industry, DIN IATF 16949:2016. Stannol’s environmental management system has been certified in accordance with ISO 14001 since 2015. We also have created a separate department for quality assurance and improvement to accompany these demanding processes.
Our focus
We have set clear guidelines with regard to quality, environmental protection and occupational health as well as safety and continuously raise awareness among our employees to these topics in order to anchor and further develop appropriate behaviour in our daily business.
Through regular certification processes and internal and external audits, we have our organisational and technical capabilities assessed and open ourselves to critical external scrutiny. These different perspectives help us continue developing in line with market and customer needs while taking environmental and social aspects into account.
Research and development
Our R&D team continuously works to improve our products and develop solutions for current requirements. One area of focus is reducing the proportion of isopropyl alcohol and the use of primary materials. To this end, we develop new formulations and concepts for using secondary raw materials, both independently and in collaboration with partners.
The projects aim to reduce resource consumption and the associated greenhouse gas emissions. Their respective impacts are then assessed on a project-specific basis.
Time and commitment
Developing new products that use fewer resources requires time and patience. It also requires a willingness to challenge existing approaches and consider environmental and social aspects at an early stage. Openness to new ideas and continuous dialogue with stakeholders throughout the supply chain help to develop and implement suitable solutions.
